Youthful Living -- LifeLong Learning
Greetings! Well I'm still reeling from my intense 4 day business trip however my thoughts on this topic couldn't wait! Some of the youngest spirited people I've ever met were nearing, at or past retirement age! That's right, most of them are in their 50s, 60s and even 70s! What I've noticed about the outlook of these jewels is they are always involved with activities they are passionate about; always looking at different ways to do the same old things AND they are fearless when it comes to learning something new! Now while I did use the word 'fearless' I want to make it known that most 'young ole folk' that I know are very clear that their minds aren't as fast or sharp as when they were in their 20s and early 30s, however, the curiosity and joy in acquiring new skills and knowledge overrides any concerns as to the difficulty of taking on something completely new and inviting! Being flexible with the way they view the world and themselves is a common theme for 'the ever young!' And, I've noticed that they don't get bogged down in regret, sorrow, frustration or self pity! All of these icons of 'full life' can share stories of hard times, loss and even deep disappointment yet their will to embrace life in its entirety overrides the tendency to sulk and settle into an established, howbeit, boring routine! Flexibility of thought along with agility of balancing emotions are key to being successful in all aspects of life including experiencing the fountain of youth! Of course these very traits are definitely needed for the small business owner and those desiring to go into business on a budget! Knowing that life is a song worth singing AND belting out your 'theme' song of inspiration during challenging times will certainly minimize dis-stress and fortify the will to succeed! Get playful! Be adventurous! Learn something you always admired others doing and weren't sure that you could do! You'll gain a greater appreciation for your own courageousness along with rejuvenating satisfaction in gaining a new talent! I intend to absolutely Live Long AND Prosper -- and health, peace of mind and child like wonderment at the world we live in are the most precious signs of wealth that any of us can generate! With those firm foundational building blocks generating income is a breeze! YE is Here! SUR-BETEnterprises@sur-bet.org
