Being Self-Employed: Research High Income Internet Claims
Of late there have been many, many fabulous claims of huge earnings made online utilizing various vehicles. Many of these claims are substantiated with videos and screen shots of 'deposits' placed into personal banking, PayPal, AlertPay, etc. accounts in order to motivate sign ups into the programs that are being offered. While quite a few of these programs do serve as viable internet income generating vehicles some of the 'high income' amounts claimed to be made are false. Because of my varied interests in electronics, cell phones, discount shopping, hardware and web hosting [to name a few. . .] I have a tendency to join and promote affiliate programs which features my interests. Possessing information and some knowledge about these interests/products allows me the benefit of being able to answer basic questions from customers about them as well as enjoy researching the pros and cons of various manufacturers, models, upgrades, etc. For the most part, my research uncovers bits and pieces of technical information that most people never care to know – yet it allows me greater insight into the mechanics of my interests which further can be used to assist people. However, while I am earning a decent amount of income from the affiliate programs that I subscribe to, it is based upon site traffic AND customer purchases and not on some 'magic' process that only requires me to refer others and let the 'big bucks' roll in. I wish it were that simple. . . I've seen a few of those videos and screen shots of account deposits that encouraged me to be consistent with my research, article writings and posting to my various blogs and online communities – even though I didn't choose to sign up for the various programs being offered [one or two I was already signed up in!]. There's nothing like a personal endorsement presented in an 'honest' way to inspire and motivate yours truly, while being 'frugal' tends to curb my enthusiasm and channel my energies towards methodical actions that will produce long term rewards. . . So, you can imagine my surprise and disappointment when I stumbled upon the video found in the link provided that actually debunks the 'honest proof of deposits' that had been a source of motivation for me! Yet, the author shows quite clearly how anyone with a little 'scripting/programming' know how [which I haven't had the time to learn] can falsify the earnings total and make it look like their affiliate marketing program is the greatest discovery since sliced bread! Take a look at the video and keep in mind that the average affiliate marketer, like myself and the majority of others online, ARE honest people working to make a living like anyone else. Also keep in mind that there are unscrupulous people out there seeking to boost their referral bonuses by any means available – and deception is one of them! Yes, unfortunately we must use "due diligence" at all times. Do the research to be sure things are legit. before signing up, or heaven forbid, sending anyone any money. Good information!
